The (NICU) developmental wedge provides proper boundaries and positioning.

The RES-Q-Wedge and Sling is used for patient care in: NICU’s, pediatric floors, PICU’s, post surgery/recovery, and rehab departments.
Indications for use:
Infants with musculoskeletal issues associated with reflux, pulmonary problems, brachial plexus stretch injuries, ear and sinus infections as well as sleep disturbances. (For infection control reasons, we recommend that infants being treated with the RES-Q Wedge in hospital, be sent home with the wedge and sling when they are discharged for home care).Design Features:
*Reversible - Used for sleeping and playtime in back lying (supine) as well as tummy (prone) positions for the needs of the premature infant, special populations of the term infant and to assist with the AAP recommendations for ‘Tummy Time’. Premature infants up to 6 1/2 pounds can also be placed in a side-lying position on the wedge. *Orthopedically Designed – To promote proper musculoskeletal alignment, shoulder protraction, hip placement and improved head molding. (See below for a more detailed explanation) *Reflux - The wedge is constructed at a 30 degree angle for prone positioning and a 35-45 degree angle for supine resting to improve gastric emptying due to poor muscle coordination and lack of lower esophageal sphincter function. The wedge also allows infants to rest elevated in both prone and supine positions.Size and Dimensions
The RES-Q Sling comes in 3 sizes:- Small / Preemie (3 – 7 pounds)
- Medium (7 – 14 pounds)
- Large (14 – 25 pounds)
